OK, now you’ve got the basics, you want to play the game yes? What I’m going to do is keep this as a diary sort of which I’ll update as I go. Hope it helps. Map References are given in brackets, the maps I used can be found at; http://www.fallenswordguide.com/realms/map.php
Level 1 Mountain Path: I clicked the map and saw Krull Island, I started at the Misty Mountains. I moved around the mountain path randomly killing rats ONLY until I was Level 2. You should be looking to pick up a Fire Amulet, a Pick Axe, and a Tassodans Rune and equip them.
Level 2 Mountain Path: Now I followed the map and completed the 2 Quests available in this section, Rat Killer (2A 8D) and Sacred Knife (3A 14D). I kept killing rats and started on the Natives at this stage. You should be looking to pick up and equip a Small Axe now, but don't throw away your Pick Axe you'll need it later.
Level 3 - Mountain Path & Narrow Passageway; Next I attempted to kill some Trolls & Ogres, yes I could do it fairly easily. Killed quite a few and worked my way around to the Narrow Passage (16A 17D). I followed the passage and ended up at the Fire Chasm Level 1. You should be looking to pick up and equip a Blocking Ring and Blade Of Falgar about now.
Level 4 - Fire Chasm Level 1; Killing Scorpions and Zombies now, working my way up to Level 5.No quests here to worry about. Working around to Stairway (7A 2A). You should be looking to equip yourself with the following by now, Frostbite Amulet, Spiked Club, Frostbite Armor, and a Frostbite Shield.
Level 5 - Fire Chasm Level 2 & 3; Killing Zombies, Trolls etc.
Inventory Update; I have a full Infernus set (gloves, armor, helmet and boots), the bonus you get for the full set helps my stats. I also have Frostbite Amulet, Blade Of Falgar, Frostbite Shield, Ring of Gordlite, and Rune of Stamina.
TIP; Having the full set of Infernus Armour gets you a 100% bonus on Elite Hunter which gets you extra xps on every kill you make. Hold onto the set as long as sensible to keep the bonus.
Level 6 - Krull Beach & Varas Dungeon; OK, I used the Instant Portal To Krull Island (Character, Preferences - costs 25 Stamina points) then clicked on Krull Beach. Here I have Darmov's Fall Quest to complete (7A 2D) and then I'll take the stairs to the Varas Dungeon (7A 9D).
OK, once you accept Darmov's Quest you have to go to Darmov's Pit which is accessed via Fire Chasm Level 1 (2A 17D) to kill the "rat". It is "born" every 15 minutes, so you have to wait around for it, and lots of other players are waiting aswell, might take a few tries to get it before anyone else - I was lucky got him straight away. Kill the "rat" report back and collect your armor.
On to Varas Dungeon now. Kill the Zombies, Succubi, and Skeletal Mages until Level 7, then access the teleporter (9A 8D) to take you to the Elya Desert. It costs 25 Stamina points and 80 in gold - so be sure to have that on hand. Click for Elya Plains
Level 7 Elya Plains North; Wowser, make sure your stats are up before coming here! I have Att 15, Def 34, Arm 27, Dam 17, HPs 28 and they are still walloping me. May have to backtrack a bit. Will lyk.
OK I backtracked to Varas Dungeons and trained up until Level 8 before returning to the Elya Plains North.
Inventory Update; I have a full Infernus set (gloves, armor, helmet and boots), the bonus you get for the full set still helps my stats. I also have Amulet Of Vigour, Piercing Blade, Crest Shield, Amethyst Ring, and Rune of Consitution. Spreading my Upgrade Points evenly between Attack and Damage now, they are the options which are of most use to me.
TIP Reminder; Having the full set of Infernus Armour gets you a 100% bonus on Elite Hunter which gets you extra xps on every kill you make. Hold onto the set as long as sensible to keep the bonus.
Level 8 -9 Elya Plains North; Battling the various characters I find, slow progress, but steady. At Level 9 I upgraded to Sigel Rune - not sue about it yet! Can't start the next Quest (Venemous Thoughts) until Level 10, so just more leveling up to do....
Level 10 - Elya Plains North & South; OK so I made Level 10 and accepted the Venemous Thoughts Quest (19A 13D). For this quest you have to go to 4 seperate locations in the Elya Plains South and touch the skulls. The locations MUST be visited in order. First you need to get to the Elya Plains South, use the stairs (8D 14A). Then visit the locations 1st is at (14A 3D) 2nd at (21A 9D) 3rd at (5A 15D) 4th at (21A 22D). You don't need to return to the start of the quest as you get your reward on touching the 4th skull.
Train upto Level 11 now as you can't go any further until then. You do need to return to the Elya Plains North (stairs at (11A 15D) by the time you are level 11 as you will need to use the stairs there to get back to the Elya Desert (4A 9D).
Inventory Update; I have a full Infernus set (gloves, armor, helmet and boots), the bonus you get for the full set still helps my stats. I also have Vespine Amulet, Frost Falchion, Venom Shield, Sapphine Ring, and Geofu Rune.
Guild Time; Time to think about joining a Guild, I've joined "Gauntlet" They do help with stats and enhancements, but more importantly you'll need a Group Attack for the next Quest and a Guild is the easiest place to get one. It costs 20FSPs to join a Guild as they have to "make a space for you" and this is what is costs them. Seems alot? it is, but at this stage you need it, so make sure you complete those free offers etc and get your 20FSPs ready.
Within "Gauntlet" you can go to the Guild Chat and ask peaople to enance your skills by posting on the board "AL Please" will usually get you Adept Learner at Level 100, this increases the speed at which you gain xps, well worth the time taken, and you can ask as often as you like, they are pretty good about it. You'll often find you are given other skills aswell, be sure to say Thanks!
Level 11, 12, & 13 - Otha Caves 1-3 & Nomad Areas; OK back to the Elya Desert map and click for Otha Caves, it won't let you in until Level 11 so don't try to cheat.
Nomad Retribution Quest (9A 2D), now I have finally completed this Quest, but thoughts are split as to whether it's worth the effort. You do need to level up to Lvel 13 in this area, so IMO you may as well do the Quest. So go accept the Quest - you need to fight and kill 3 Elite Nomads, and you CANNOT do this without a group attack (that's why you need the Guild). Remember you need to be Level 13 by the time you finish this so lots of killing and levelling up ok?
So you've accepted the Quest and you need the Head Of Isuhal - he's in the Nomad Stronghold. Follow the stairs down to Otha Caves Level 2 (10A 10D). Then down to Level 3 (3A 3D). Now is the time to initiate your Group - go to Guild Groups and create a group, it costs you 25 stamina points so make sure you have them. Guild members will join your group, you need about 4 or 5 including you.
Finally advance into the Nomad Stronghold (15A 2D). Now Isuhal only appears every 15-30 minutes so you'll have to wander around looking for him and it may take some time. Once you find him you need to use the Group Attack - you know the button you've been using to attack characters? well to the right of it is one for a 40 stamina attack, then one for a 60 stamina attack, the final one on the far right is for a Group Attack - press it quickly before anyone else grabs him. If your group is strong enough you'll defeat him - Yes? one head! But it's not in your backpack, that's right it goes to the Guild Storage, you need to go to the Guild and click on it to retrieve it. Make sure you have space in your backpack.
Now you have a choice, you can traipse back up and hand that head in before you start after the second, or you can move straight onto the next Elite Nomad - your choice! Due to limited space in my backpack I traipsed all the way back through the caves to level 1 and handed in the first head (got an Nomad Bone Necklace which I stored for later) before going after the other two.
OK, Elite Nomad 2 or Ionlad The Brute - he's in the Nomad Barracks. Initiate another Group at your Guild and head down to the Nomad Stronghold where you were before, and it's (7A 7D) just down the stairs. Wander around, find him, "Group Attack" kill him and his head will be in Guild Store like before.
Finally, Elite Nomad 3 or Gadraen The Crazed - he's in the Nomad Sanctum. Initiate another Group at your Guild and head down to the Nomad Barracks where you were before, and it's (12A 6D) just down the stairs. Wander around, find him, "Group Attack" kill him and his head will be in Guild Store like before.
Time to hand those heads in if you haven't already, and collect your rewards - the rest of the Nomad Set!
Are you Level 13? No, then level up around here. Yes, then we move on!
Inventory Update; I have the full Infernus set (gloves, armor, helmet and boots), the bonus you get for the full set is still helping my stats. I also have the full Nomad set from the previous quest (shield, weapon, and amulet), Sapphine Ring, and Geofu Rune.
Level 13-14 Krull Beach Forest East; OK, to get here from the Otha Caves the easiest method is to use the "Instant Portal Back To Krull Island" - you can find this by going to "Character" then "Preferences" and scrolling down. It costs 25 stamina points, so be sure to have them ready.
OK, you are at Krull Island Map, click for Krull Beach and find yourself at Krull Beach Forest West (2A 2D). The characters here are too weak for you, ignore them and head for the stairwell to Krull Beach Forest East (11A 9D). Down the stairs and you have a crazy map! Just wander round THE SECTION YOU LAND ON and level up to Level 15. No quests here.
Inventory Update; I have the full Nomad set (shield, weapon, and amulet), the bonus you get for the full set is still helping my stats. I also have Dyed Gloves, Assassins Hood, Purple Death (armor), Dwarf Quartz Ring, Thick Hide Boots, and Geofu Rune. Spreading my Upgrade Points evenly between Attack and Damage now, they are still the options which are of most use to me.
TIP Reminder; Having the full set of Nomad Items gets you a 100% bonus on Elite Hunter which gets you extra xps on every kill you make. Hold onto the set as long as sensible to keep the bonus.
Level 15 The Mists; OK you have your Level 15, so use the tunnel (20A 5D) which takes you to another part of the map (7A 13D), just beside where you come out is the Teleporter (8A 15D) use it to get you to Dreg Marsh. It costs about 25 stamina and 300 gold so be sure to have plenty handy. Once you see the Dreg Marsh map click for The Mists.
Ok you are at (12A 9D), you have Anvil Reign Quest at (11A 12D) - simple Kill 30 Orc Warriors. Now presuming you are strong enough this is an easy quest and a good levelling up area. You should easily make Level 16 whilst doing this quest. Your reward is a Blade Of Karog - I sold mine, didn't like it, your choice.
Level 16 - 18 Dreg Swamp; You've done your quest and are at Level 16, head back to (20A 5D) and use the stairwell back to Dreg Marsh. Once you see the map click for Dreg Swamp.
4 Quests here, Dreg March, Old Man, Burnt Hut & Thou Dost Jest. You need to be Level 19 for Thou Dost Jest so we'll talk about that later. The first 3 Quests are all located basically together on the map, so you may aswell go accept them all at once. Dreg March (7A 14D) Old Man (7A 15D) Burnt Hut (10A 15D). Now you want to be Level 19 when you complete these so you can do the final quest so be sure to lots of killing. You DONOT need group attacks for these quests.
NOTE; If you happen to come across an Elite called Giggles the Laughable DONOT attempt to kill him alone. You need a group attck on this creature, if you can get a Guild Group together and he's still there take him out. You'll be rewarded with his head, hold onto it, you'll need it later.
Dreg March (7A 14D) - All you have to do for this one is obtain supplies for the soldiers you encountered. Wander over to the Supply Camp (20A 21D) and they'll give you some to take back with you.
Old Man (7A 15D) - You need to go get him some Red Root for his potion. Wander over to the wood (20A 3D) and get him some. Nice xp reward on this one.
Burnt Hut (10A 15D) - Kill 10 Fire Golems after accepting the quest, simple.
Level 19 yet? No, go wander around and get that level up then. If you are struggling to get the xps needed (I did) I suggest going back to the stairs (2A 2D) and up to the map. Click for Galo Caves and use the stairs at (2A 7D) to get to Level 2. The hunting is a bit better here. Remember to go back to the Dreg Swamp at Level 19 for the final quest.
Level 19 - Dreg Swamp; OK, now it's time for Thou Does Jest Quest, go accept it (20A 15D). OK this is where you need to kill Giggles The Laughable (Elite), if you got him earlier and have his head brilliant, turn it over and move to step 2. If you haven't found him previously you need to make a Guild Group, wander around, find him, and kill him with a group attack. Take the head from Guild Storage, and hand it in - you'll get a Giggles Hat in exchange for it.
There is a second part to this quest, you'll be told when you are given the hat that the Giggles Tunic is in the lower Galo Caves. So you need to go back to the stairs (2A 2D) and up to the map. Click for Galo Caves and use the stairs at (2A 7D) to get to Level 2. The tunic is at (5A 2D). Work your way back up, through the stairs and back to Dreg Swamp again by Level 20 to use the Teleporter (2A 22D) to Lotmar Island. Remember this costs 25 Stamina and about 300 pieces of gold.
Doing good People!
